Grubbin' Around
Among the eight-thousand to-dos on my list, one was putting a new 160GB hard-drive in my Linux box. Every three or four years I seem to reach a point where I've maxed out my memory/CPU/hard-drive and buy something bigger and badder than ever. And without fail I always think to myself , 'Ha! It will take forever for me to use this up'. And yet, here I am facing another upgrade.
I switched over to using GRUB as my boot-loader about a year ago, but never really took much advantage of it. Now I can see how helpful it is to have a boot shell where you can experiment with a bunch of options before committing. Nifty nifty stuff.
